When I was really little, my mom and brother and I would get up early and set out May Baskets for all the neighbors. They were only paper cones stuffed with flowers, but I think it's kind of sad that no one does this anymore.
Also, the first-dew-of-May thing? MYTH. (And with all the chemicals and toxins and Unidentified Bad Stuff floating around pretty much EVERYWHERE, who would want to wash their face in it? Even with the assurance of gorgeousness for a year? That's not really a risk I'd like to take.)
